To apply style sheets, select the paragraph(s) and click on the desired style sheet. Add style sheets via the Style Sheets dialog box (Edit menu).

To specify your own trapping value for the active item(s), choose this and enter a value in the field that is displayed to the right of the pop-up menu.
Auto Amount (–): To choke the background of the current object color by the value entered in the Auto Amount field in the Application Preferences dialog box, choose this.
Auto Amount (+): To spread the current object color by the value entered in the Auto Amount field in the Application Preferences dialog box, choose this.
Knockout: To specify that the current object color knock out of its background with no trapping, choose this.
Overprint: To specify that the current object color not knock out of its background, choose this.
